Suzie LeBlanc is soprano in residence at the Colours of Music Festival in Barrie, Ontario, until October 1st 2009. After receiving a first honorary doctorate from King's College University (Halifax) in 2008, soprano Suzie LeBlanc will now be receiving an honorary doctorate in Fine Arts from Mount Allison University. Convocation will take place May 25 2009 in Sackville, N.B.

Lost Song, the feature film by Rodrigue Jean has made it into Canada's Top Ten! Suzie LeBlanc, in her first feature film, plays the female lead character, Elisabeth. Canada’s Top Ten celebrates and promotes contemporary Canadian cinema and is intended to raise public awareness of Canadian achievements in film.
